How spreads and commissions differ

The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price. Commission is a separate charge. Neither is displayed here until it is verified.
The spread is the difference between the price at which you can buy and the price at which you can sell. A wider spread means the price has to move further before a new position shows a gain.
Commission is a separate fee, often charged per trade or per volume. An account can have a tighter spread and a commission, or a wider spread and no separate commission. The cheaper choice depends on the instrument and how often you trade. It cannot be judged from the account name alone.
Bear Markets does not show a sample spread on this website. A made-up “from 0.0” figure would be easy to mistake for a live price. When a verified spread or commission is entered in the account editor and published, it replaces the contact message on that row only.
Financing charges, sometimes called swaps, are different again. They can be a cost or a credit for holding a position overnight. Their availability is also unpublished until confirmed.
